The Sendspark + Clay Integration makes it easy to create AI-personalized videos for prospects in your sales automations.
How to Automatically Create and Send Personalized Videos in Clay
Here we're provided a step-by-step video walkthrough of all of the steps listed out below.
1. Create Clay Table
Get started by creating a table in Clay. In your table, you should have contacts for whom you would like to create AI personalized videos.
Make sure to have these fields to send to Sendspark in order to create dynamic videos:
First Name: So you can add a personalized intro, like "Hi First Name" at the beginning of your video with AI
Email: So you can make sure you're emailing the right person the right video in the final step
Website URL: So you can make it look like you're recording over this website in your video
2. Create Dynamic Video Campaign
In the Sendspark dynamic video section, click "Create Dynamic Video"
Add the generic video you want to send to everyone at the top.
Remember to use the placeholder word "watermelon" and toggle on "voice cloning" if you want to use an AI intro at the beginning of your video to say "hi first name." (See example video)
Customize the rest of the video landing page as you'd like. You'll see a preview of how it will look on the right of your screen
Add yourself or another test contact to preview your video. Make sure you're happy with how things look before setting up the full automation!
3. Add Enrichment: Sendspark > Add Prospect To Video Campaign
Back in Clay, click "Add Enrichment"
Then select the option for "Sendspark > Add Prospect to Video Campaign"
To set up the Sendspark Clay Integration, you'll have to...
Add your "API Key" and "Secret Key." You can find both in the API credentials section of Sendspark.
Select Your Workspace from the dropdown
Select Your Dynamic Campaign ID from the dropdown
Map Contact Fields Into Clay
In the end, it should look something like this:
You and click "Save and Run" to generate Sendspark videos for everyone on your Clay table.
Once you run, you should be able to see that videos are generating in your Sendspark campaign:
In a few minutes, you should be able to refresh your Sendspark campaign to see a list of completed videos.
Click any contact from your list to play the video and check the quality.
Now that you have set up this automation to create your videos, let's move on to the next step to automatically send your videos in email.
4. Create Video Email
In this step, we'll walk through how to send the videos in Smartlead email sequences. The same process should work in nearly any email platform, so no worries if you don't use Smartlead!
Before you set up any automation, you should add the Sendspark dynamic video snippet to your email campaign, as a placeholder for where you want the video to be.
In your Sendspark video campaign, select "Share Campaign"
Search for "Smartlead"
Click the first option, "Smartlead (Image URL)"
Paste that into your email, where you want the video to go
Now, you've added an image preview. But we want to make sure it's clickable, so when your viewer receives this email, they will be able to click it to watch their video!
Back in Sendspark, click the 2nd option: "Smartlead (Video URL)"
In your email, add this as a hyperlink to the image you just pasted.
Awesome, now let's go back to Clay to make sure that once videos generate, contacts will automatically get enrolled in that Smartlead Sequence and receive a video email.
5. Automatically Send Video Email
The final step is to automatically enroll contacts in your Smartlead sequence once videos get created for them.
To do this, you can add an enrichment for Smartlead in Clay.
When the video successfully generates, you'll see the text in the "Sendspark" column update to say "✅ Success"
and then the lead will automatically get moved to the "Add Lead to Campaign Step"
That's it!! Since you already have the Sendspark dynamic video snippet in Smartlead, every contact in your campaign will see the video made for them.
