How to Send AI Videos in Smartlead (Clay + Sendspark)

This article shows how to send AI personalized videos in Smartlead AFTER they've been created via the Sendspark Clay Integration

How to Send Videos in Smartlead via Clay

This guide assumes that you've already created Sendspark videos in Clay, and you're looking to send them in Smartlead campaigns as soon as they generate.

If you have not done that yet, please start with this guide on how to create Sendspark videos in Clay.

1. Prep Your Video Email

Before you set up any automation, you should add the Sendspark dynamic video snippet to your email campaign, as a placeholder for where you want the video to be.

  • In your Sendspark video campaign, select "Share Campaign"

  • Search for "Smartlead"

  • Click the first option, "Smartlead (Image URL)"

  • Paste that into your email, where you want the video to go
    ​

  • Now, you've added an image preview. But we want to make sure it's clickable, so when your viewer receives this email, they will be able to click it to watch their video!

  • Back in Sendspark, click the 2nd option: "Smartlead (Video URL)"

  • In your email, add this as a hyperlink to the image you just pasted.

Awesome, now let's go back to Clay to make sure that once videos generate, contacts will automatically get enrolled in that Smartlead Sequence and receive a video email.

2. Automatically Send Video Email

The final step is to automatically enroll contacts in your Smartlead sequence once videos get created for them.

To do this, you can add an enrichment for Smartlead in Clay.

When the video successfully generates, you'll see the text in the "Sendspark" column update to say "βœ… Success"

and then the lead will automatically get moved to the "Add Lead to Campaign Step"

That's it!! Since you already have the Sendspark dynamic video snippet in Smartlead, every contact in your campaign will see the video made for them.
