By using the Sendspark + Platformly integration, you can embed videos in Platformly using merge tags. These merge tags let you automatically change content for each of your recipients — so you can personalize videos with the right first name, company name, or job title for each person.

You can record, upload, or request a video.

These merge tags will automatically update for each recipient. If the recipient's information is unknown, they will see a fallback.

By clicking "Platformly," you will copy your video share snippet to your clipboard.

Note, if you don't see Platformly on the share modal, you can modify your shortcuts.

From any email in Platformly, switch to an HTML email builder.

Now, you can paste your video snippet where you want your video to go. (Note, you might want to leave yourself a note in the text, like "video goes here," so it is easy to find the spot you want to add your video in the code).

Click the HTML button again to see a preview of your video email.

That's it, you're ready to send your video!

The Sendspark video might play in-line in email depending on the email client your recipient is opening the email in.

If they are using an email client that supports video (like Apple Mail, Superhuman, or Samsung), then they will be able to play the video in email. If they are using an email client that does not support video (like Gmail or Outlook) then they will see a fallback image of the video and can click to watch the video in their browser. You cannot embed combined videos in email this way. Instead, we recommend sending the video as an image + a link.
