Description:
By default, Sendspark captures your microphone (and whatever your mic picks up from your speakers), but not your computer’s system audio. If you need to record internal sounds (like a YouTube video, webinar, or music), you must use the Chrome Extension with the Record Tab + Share Tab Audio option.

Recording System Audio in Sendspark

Normally, Sendspark recordings capture:

  • Microphone audio (your voice).

  • Speaker audio (if your mic picks it up from the room).

However, this does not include the actual system audio stream from your computer.

The only way to record system audio in Sendspark is by using the Chrome Extension with the Record Tab option and enabling “Share Tab Audio.”

The desktop app and other recording modes cannot capture system audio.

How to Do It

  1. Open the Chrome tab that has the audio you want to record (e.g. YouTube, webinar, music).

  2. Click the Sendspark Chrome Extension icon.

  3. Choose Record Tab as your source.

  4. When prompted, check the box for Share Tab Audio.

  5. Start recording — Sendspark will capture both the video of the tab and its system audio.

Notes & Limitations

  • Works only in Google Chrome.

  • The desktop app does not support system audio recording.

  • You can also enable both microphone + tab audio if you want to record your voice and the system sound together.
