# Track who has watched your Videos

> Track video analytics in Sendspark to see who watched your videos, view counts, and engagement data. Use insights to follow up with the right prospects.

Whether you can see exactly who watched your Sendspark video depends on how you send it. Sending through Gmail or a similar email client gives general analytics (how much was watched, IP, location) but only shows "Viewer from...". To identify individual viewers by name, send through an automation platform like HubSpot, Apollo, or Instantly.

## Key takeaways

* How you send the video determines whether you can identify individual viewers.
* **Gmail or similar clients:** general analytics (watch amount, IP, location), but no viewer identity — shown as "Viewer from...".
* **Automation platforms (HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly, etc.):** integrate with Sendspark to reveal viewer identities because you're sending to contacts in a database.

## Tracking Video Analytics with Sendspark

When you send a video through Sendspark, you can gather valuable analytics to understand your audience's engagement. **However, it's important to note the limitations based on how you send the video.**

## Sending Videos through Gmail or Similar Platforms

If you send a video through an email platform like Gmail, you will receive general analytics. This includes information such as how much of the video was watched, the IP address related to that device, etc. However, you won't be able to see exactly who watched the video. The reason is that Gmail and similar platforms do not track individual viewers because you are not working with a database. It will only show "Viewer from..."

## Using Automation Platforms for Detailed Analytics

To know exactly who watched your video, you need to use an automation platform such as HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly or a similar supported tool.

These platforms integrate with Sendspark and allow you to send videos to a list of contacts within the platform. This way, you can track detailed analytics, including the identities of the viewers:

## Summary

* **Gmail or Similar Platforms:** Get general analytics without viewer identification.
* **Automation Platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo):** Get detailed analytics, including viewer identities

By using the right tools, you can maximize the insights you gain from your video content.
