# Sendspark Recording Shortcuts and Hotkeys

> Learn how to use Sendspark recording shortcuts and hotkeys for faster video creation with the Chrome extension and desktop app.

Sendspark provides keyboard shortcuts so you can control recording without clicking buttons. In the desktop app, press Space to skip the countdown, ⌥+⌘+Q to exit, and ⌥+⌘+X to log out. In the Chrome Extension, ⇧+X toggles spotlight, and while recording you can delete, restart, pause, or stop with ⇧+⌥ combinations.
