# Instant Integration: LinkedIn
> Set up the Sendspark LinkedIn extension to send personalized video messages in Direct Messages, InMail, and Sales Navigator instantly.
The Sendspark LinkedIn extension lets you record and insert personalized video messages directly into LinkedIn Direct Messages, InMail, and Sales Navigator. Install the Sendspark Chrome Extension, click the Sendspark icon in your LinkedIn compose window, record your video, then insert it — recipients see a clickable thumbnail preview that opens the full video.

## Before you get started:
Please install the [Sendspark Chrome Extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sendspark-video-and-scree/blimjkpadkhcpmkeboeknjcmiaogbkph) to use the LinkedIn integration.
As long as you have the Chrome Extension installed, you’ll automatically be able to access Sendspark from LinkedIn.
Install Chrome Extension

## 1. Click the Sendspark Icon in LinkedIn
Create a **new message in LinkedIn**. You’ll see the Sendspark logo appear in the options at the bottom of your compose window. You'll see this in Direct Messages, Sales Navigator, and InMail.
**Note:** you must have the [Sendspark chrome extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sendspark-video-and-scree/blimjkpadkhcpmkeboeknjcmiaogbkph/related?hl=en-US) installed and be using a Chrome browser to see the Sendspark icon.
## 2. Record a New Video
Click **Record new video**.
This will launch the Sendspark Chrome Extension, so you can record a video of yourself or your screen.
Alternatively, you can choose to request a video, meet live, send a calendar scheduling link, insert your last recording, or view your video library on [Sendspark](https://sendspark.com/my-videos).
## 3. Complete Recording
To end your video, **click the Sendspark Chrome Extension icon** on the top right of your browser.
This will complete your video recording, and launch a modal for you to preview your video before sharing.
## 4. (Optional) Edit Video Page in Sendspark
You can customize your video before sharing it by clicking **Edit Page / Thumbnail**.
This will open your video in a new window, where you can edit the [video landing page](/customize-your-video-landing-page).
**Note**: When you edit the page, you’ll leave LinkedIn and go to Sendspark. Now, instead of inserting your video in LinkedIn messages, you'll need to [copy and paste your video into LinkedIn](/linkedin-how-to-share-videos)
If you want to instantly add a **title, message, or call-to-action** to your video without typing, make sure to [create a template.](/how-to-use-templates)
## 5. Insert Your Video in LinkedIn
Click **Insert Video** to place your video in your LinkedIn message.
This will automatically add a Sendspark video share link to your LinkedIn. Your recipients will see an image preview of your video, and be able to click to watch the full video.
\*\*Note:\*\*when using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Recruiter, it LOOKS like video previews are not showing up for your viewers. But, in fact, video thumbnails DO show for viewers as long as they are **1st degree connections or have accepted your InMail**.

## Frequently asked questions
You need the [Sendspark Chrome Extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sendspark-video-and-scree/blimjkpadkhcpmkeboeknjcmiaogbkph) installed and you must be using a Chrome browser. Once it's installed, the Sendspark icon appears automatically in your LinkedIn compose window.
You'll see the Sendspark icon and can insert videos in LinkedIn Direct Messages, InMail, and Sales Navigator.
In Sales Navigator and Recruiter it can look like thumbnails aren't appearing, but they do show for viewers who are 1st-degree connections or who have accepted your InMail.
Editing the page opens your video in a new Sendspark window and takes you out of LinkedIn. From there you'll [copy and paste your video into LinkedIn](/linkedin-how-to-share-videos) rather than inserting it directly.
