This guide shows you how to create dynamically personalized videos in Sendspark and integrate them with Apollo emails. With dynamic personalization, you can record one video that automatically adapts to show each recipient's name and company information.
Prerequisites
A Sendspark account
An Apollo account with email templates set up
A recorded or uploaded video in Sendspark
Step 1: Set Up Dynamic Personalization in Sendspark
Navigate to your video's share page in Sendspark
Click Add Dynamic Personalization
Configure your personalized elements:
Header: Add "Hi #{{first_name}}" or similar greeting
Message area: Include company-specific text like "wanted to show how #{{company_name}}"
Call to action: Add your desired CTA text and link
Tip: The dynamic fields will automatically populate with each contact's information when they view the video.
Step 2: Customize Your Video Thumbnail
Click Share Video from your video page
Click Customize over the video thumbnail
Add your personalized text (like "Hi #{{first_name}}") to appear on the thumbnail
Review how the thumbnail will appear to recipients
Step 3: Add Video to Apollo Email Template
In Sendspark, click the Apollo snippet button to copy the video code to your clipboard
Open your Apollo email template
Paste the video snippet where you want the video to appear
Format the placement as needed (you can add spacing or remove the "watch video" text if desired)
Step 4: Test Your Dynamic Video
Preview your Apollo email template with different contacts
Verify that names and company information populate correctly
Check that the video thumbnail displays the personalized greeting
Note: Each recipient will see their own personalized version of the video, including their name in both the thumbnail and video content, creating a more personal connection at scale.
