This guide shows you how to set up an automated workflow that sends personalized Sendspark videos to LinkedIn prospects only after they accept your connection request. This two-step approach increases both connection acceptance rates and video response rates.

Prerequisites

  • Active Expandi account

  • Sendspark account with dynamic video campaign set up

  • Sendspark integration enabled in Expandi

Setting Up Your Expandi Workflow

Step 1: Configure Initial Steps

  1. Create a new campaign in Expandi

  2. Add a Visit Profile step as your first action (recommended by Expandi to appear less suspicious)

  3. Add a Check if Connected logic step to avoid sending requests to existing connections

Step 2: Send Connection Request

  1. Add a Send Connection Request step

  2. Leave the connection request message empty to increase acceptance rates

Tip: Statistics from LinkedIn automation platforms show that empty connection requests have higher acceptance rates than personalized ones.

Step 3: Wait for Acceptance

  1. Add another Check if Connected step

  2. Expandi will monitor for connection acceptance for up to two weeks

  3. Once accepted, prospects automatically move to the next step

Step 4: Send Personalized Video Message

  1. Add a Send Message step

  2. Set a time delay (recommended: 15 minutes) to avoid appearing overly automated

  3. Craft your message template using Expandi's dynamic fields

Creating Your Message Template

Here's an example message structure:

"Hey [First Name], not sure if you've had a chance to look at our company, but we help [describe your service]. Here's a quick video to show how it works: [Sendspark Video Link]"

Adding Sendspark Video Integration

  1. In your message template, click where you want to insert the video

  2. Select the Sendspark integration option

  3. Choose your desired dynamic video campaign from the dropdown

  4. Click the green checkmark to add the video placeholder

Setting Up Your Sendspark Dynamic Campaign

Your dynamic video campaign should include:

  • Base video: Your main recorded content

  • AI voice cloning: For personalized name mentions

  • Dynamic backgrounds: Show prospect's website (optional)

  • Landing page: Custom page for each prospect with booking options

  • Integrations: Connect with your CRM for seamless follow-up

How It Works in Practice

Once your workflow is live:

  1. Expandi sends connection requests to your prospect list

  2. When prospects accept, they automatically receive your personalized video message after the delay period

  3. Sendspark creates individual videos for each prospect using AI personalization

  4. Videos appear in LinkedIn messages as rich previews with animated thumbnails, not just plain links

Tip: The video links will unfurl in LinkedIn messages, showing an animated GIF preview that makes your message more engaging and clickable.

Best Practices

  • Keep your initial video recording concise and valuable

  • Use the time delay feature to maintain a natural conversation flow

  • Monitor your campaign performance and adjust messaging as needed

  • Ensure your dynamic video campaign has enough personalization elements to stand out
